The lifetime license of Camstreamer is valid for the entire lifespan of the camera and cannot be transferred easily. There are two exceptions:
Exception 1: If your camera is replaced with another camera during a repair by Axis, you can transfer the license to the replacement camera free of charge. This requires the AXIS RMA and AXIS Exchange Protocol.
Exception 2: You can also transfer the license to another camera within 2 years of the initial activation date. For this, refer to the product CamstreamerMOVE on NetcamCenter.nl.
No, the CamStreamer license is a one-time payment. The license remains valid and is linked to the camera's serial number. Transferring the license is not possible.
Yes, each app functions independently of each other. However, please note that the camera's processor will determine the number of functions and apps that can be used simultaneously.
To stream with CamStreamer, you need a suitable platform such as YouTube, Facebook, or Vimeo. You will need to register an account with the platform. Please be aware that platforms like YouTube may have a minimum registration period of 24 hours. You can start live streaming only after 24 hours of creating your account.
It may not be possible on all platforms due to music rights issues, and your stream may be blocked. For live events with music, we recommend using Vimeo.
No, CamStreamer can only be installed on cameras from the AXIS brand. If you want to live stream with a different brand camera, we recommend using NetcamViewer Live. Please contact us for further assistance.
YouTube, you can display videos while protecting the privacy of your website visitors. In enhanced privacy mode, YouTube does not collect viewer information unless they actually play the video.
To display videos in this mode, add the parameter "cookie=off" to the permanent link as shown in the example below. Also, remember to set autoplay to 0.
Use the "RTMP ingest server (Universal)" service and enter the address and stream key in the form below: rtmp://video1.earthcam.com/myearthcam/streamkey.
If you notice that your stream is slow or choppy, check and test the following points:
- Check your connection speed on speedtest.net, and make sure the Upload speed is higher than your set bitrate with a reserve. The latency should be at least 100 ms.
- DPI (Deep Packet Inspection): This may cause random network latency to your firewall, which can affect RTMP.
- Camera load - an overloaded camera can skip frames. Reduce the camera load by:
a) Checking/reducing the number of outgoing streams from the camera.
b) Turning off other ACAP applications on the camera.
c) Reducing the audio sample rate.
- Use the default "Video Quality." Selecting "custom" may lead to sending video to YouTube with the wrong parameters.
AXIS cameras capable of performing 50/60/100/120 FPS must consider the following points:
- Enabling the WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) option will automatically reduce the FPS output of the camera image by 2, for example, to 25/30/50/60 FPS.
- Additionally, using the BDC (Barrel Distortion Correction) option on the lens increases the CPU load.
- Regarding BDC, it is better to use the camera's zoom function, which minimizes the CPU processing power and prevents further loss of FPS.

Yes, you can broadcast 24/7, for example, to YouTube. In case of a (short) interruption in the stream, the YouTube link might change, leading to a disruption. To prevent this, a control program is in place specifically for YouTube, which automatically notifies YouTube of a new link as soon as a camera becomes active again. This ensures that the livestream remains online.
The live chat feature is not available and needs to be disabled.
- Go to the Live Control Room using the button next to the video preview in the stream settings.
- Confirm the initial settings if necessary.
- Click on "Edit" and disable the live chat - see the screenshot below.
- Choose a language and the location of the camera.
- Create a title and select between 24-hour or 12-hour format.
- Choose the color, location, and size of the widget.
- Finally, select a layout and save the changes.
